USS Carl Vinson arrives for Fleet Week LA

The USS Carl Vinson, a Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, arrived Tuesday in a stunning sight off the Port of LA to start Fleet Week. Ship tours, concerts and other events are part of the schedule, which includes activities through May 27. Other highlights include military displays and equipment demonstrations, aircraft flyovers, and a "Galley Wars" culinary cook-off, a tasty showdown that will find Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Air Force and Army teams squaring off for top honors.
