PRD Commissioner: “My Team Is Working On New Legislation”
The Parliamentary Registration Department (PRD) is working on legislation to address concerns raised by the CARICOM Election Observation Mission (CEOM) following its monitoring of The Bahamas’ May General Election.
PRD Commissioner Harrison Thompson says he has read and welcomes the CEOM’s August 6 report and is working to address its recommendations, including calls for an independent electoral management body and stronger logistical preparedness and operations within the PRD.
