Celebrating Our Nurses

The Trinidad and Tobago National Nursing Association earlier this week joined the world in observing International Nurses Day. The nurses joined voices in praises to God and recognised their achievements at an event at the Magdalena Grand Beach and Golf Resort. It was Tobago's turn to host the National Nurses Week function. Seven nurses and two nursing assistants received awards. A special award was also presented to British Empire Medal Recipient Nurse Anndeloris Chacon. President of the Trinidad and Tobago National Nursing Association, Idi Stuart, said the nurses deserve to be recognised for their hard work. Mr. Stuart said progress is being made in addressing the issues highlighted by nurses in Tobago. He thanked the Secretary for Health, Wellness and Social Protection who was also present for her commitment to giving ear to the nurses' concerns.
