Child Seen In Video Being Choked Placed In The Care Of Relatives

The child being choked by a female relative in a video making the rounds on social media has been placed in the care of relatives. According to a release from the Children’s Authority of Trinidad and Tobago, through their collaboration with the Child Protection Unit of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service and concerned citizens, they were able to locate the child. Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Authority Sheldon Cyrus said the child will be placed in the care of suitable and responsible relatives. He added that the Authority will monitor the child’s placement to ensure that the child’s needs are met.
