Dog alerts family of fire at century-old South LA church

Her name was Lola, and her barking saved her family during a fire early Friday. As flames raged through the Crouch Memorial Church of God and Christ in South LA, Richard Vaquero said it was Lola's barking that alerted them. Vaquero was left with burns on his arms and face when he went to the back of the house and grabbed a water hose in hopes of saving the family's cars. But ultimately the fire destroyed the two cars.
