Government warns Kenyans ignoring safety advisories

The ministry of interior has issued a stern warning to individuals and Kenyans at large who continue to ignore safety advisories amid the ongoing heavy rains that have occasioned destruction and death across the country. In a statement, interior cabinet secretary professor Kithure Kindiki says enforcement teams have been deployed to assess all risky areas and anyone found risking the lives of Kenyans, especially those in distress, shall be held liable. Kindiki's directive comes as six more people died in Mathioya sub-county when their homes were swept by landslides on Sunday night.
