Marine scientist says shark attacks are rare

Marine scientist Ryan Mannette is advising sea bathers to avoid bright colours and shiny objects like jewellery when in the water, as sharks are attracted by these things. Mannette told CNC3’s The Morning Brew that shark attacks are rare, and when an incident does occur, it is usually because the shark confuses a person for another prey.
