Education officials are seeking to place more social workers across the school body to assist troubled children. So says Chief Education Officer, Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw. Last term, it was reported five girls went missing, with two yet to be located, and one boy was reported missing a week after the end of the Hilary term. President of the Barbados Association of Principals of Public Secondary Schools, Stephen Jackman says he would like to see the pace at which counsellors are implemented, quickened. However, he says where there is information of a child at risk, the Child Care Board will be informed.
