The leader of Scotland’s Alba Party is indicating he may assist First Minister Humza Yousaf to prevent the collapse of his government. “If this is a move to get back to the issues of jobs, education, and health, and housing, then that’s to be welcomed, and we’d be prepared to assist in that,” Alba leader Alex Salmond said. Mr Yousaf’s power-sharing agreement with the Scottish Greens collapsed last week. A no-confidence vote is expected this week. Mr Yousaf rose to the position in March of last year following the resignation of Nicola Sturgeon.
