Trudeau announces budget measures related to youth, health and education | LIVE

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is set to make an announcement in Saskatoon, Sask., on Tuesday related to measures in the federal budget focused on youth, education and health. Dan Vandal, the minister for northern affairs and minister responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada and the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency, and Marci Ien, minister of women and gender equality, will also be on hand for the announcement. The announcement comes as new polling by Ipsos suggests the 2024 federal budget failed to spark a much-needed rebound in the polls for Trudeau's trailing Liberal party. The 2024 federal budget tabled last week included billions of dollars in new spending aimed at improving "generational fairness" and rapidly fillign in Canada's housing supply gap.
