Bastian: “No Weapon Formed Against Me Shall Prosper”
PLP Fort Charlotte Candidate, Sebas Bastian, quoting scripture as he wrapped his speech at tonight’s PLP Central West Rally for Progress, saying no weapon formed against him shall prosper. The political newcomer also told voters not to be distracted when they head to the polls on May 12th.
His comments come after the Coalition of Independents called his candidacy into question, going as far as opposing his nomination last Thursday, which was Nomination Day. The COI has argued Bastian is in violation of a constitutional requirement to disclose any interest in government contracts.
Bastian has denied their claim, and the Parliamentary Registration Department has since said his nomination and declaration were carried out in full compliance with the law.
