Munroe: “Any Public Officer Found Doing Document Fraud Will Face Up To 10 Years In Jail”
PLP Freetown candidate and National Security Minister, Wayne Munroe, addressing concerns about document fraud at the PLP’s Central West Rally tonight. Munroe telling supporters that if the Davis administration is re-elected, they’ll introduce biometrics to identify former deportees. He also insisted any public officer found committing passport or document fraud will face up to 10 years in jail, or a $50,000 fine.
In March, Chief Passport Officer, Nicholas Symonette, revealed the department had referred 98 cases of suspected passport fraud to the police for investigation. The issue was first raised by FNM leader Michael Pintard in the House of Assembly that same month.
