1 dead, 7 critically injured after Singapore Airlines flight hits severe turbulence

A 73-year-old died aboard a Singapore Airlines plane on Tuesday as a result of severe turbulence. The flight leaving London hit an air pocket and was diverted for an emergency landing in Bangkok.
